Google API Services Usage Disclosure

Octanist's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

1. Data Accessed and Used:
When you connect your Google account, Octanist requests specific OAuth permissions (scopes) to access your Google Ads and Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery) accounts. We use this access strictly to provide our offline conversion tracking service:

  • We read your Google Cloud Projects, BigQuery tables, and schemas to establish the integration.
  • We read your Google Ads accounts, conversion actions, and recent ad spend for dashboard reporting.
  • We write/insert updated lead statuses (e.g., "Qualified" or "Won") directly into your connected BigQuery tables and upload them to Google Ads as offline conversions.

2. Data Storage:
We only securely store the authentication tokens, project IDs, and metadata required to maintain your active integration. We do not download, copy, or store the underlying contents of your BigQuery databases.

3. Data Sharing:
We do not sell, share, or transfer your Google User Data to any third-party ad networks, data brokers, or other external entities. Your Google data is used exclusively to facilitate your specific data syncs within the Octanist platform.

Meta (Facebook) Platform Data Usage

Octanist integrates with Meta APIs (including the Meta Conversions API) to facilitate offline conversion tracking. Our use of data received from Meta adheres to the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.

1. Data Accessed and Used:
When you connect your Meta account to Octanist, we request specific permissions (ads_management, ads_read, and business_management) to access your Meta Business Manager and Ad Accounts.

  • Business Management & Ads Read: We read your Meta Business Manager accounts, ad accounts, campaigns, and offline event sets to configure the integration and display recent ad performance within the Octanist dashboard.
  • Ads Management: We use this access strictly to write and send updated offline lead statuses (e.g., "Qualified" or "Won") back to your Meta ad accounts via the Conversions API for campaign attribution and optimisation.

2. Data Storage and Sharing:
We securely store the authentication tokens and metadata required to maintain your active Meta integration. We do not use your Meta Platform Data for our own purposes, nor do we sell, license, or share this data with third-party data brokers or other ad networks. Your data is strictly processed on your behalf to operate the Octanist service.

3. Data Deletion:
You can revoke Octanist's access to your Meta account at any time via your Meta Business Integrations settings. If you disconnect your integration or delete your Octanist account, we will delete the associated Meta authentication tokens and integration metadata from our active databases. To request a complete deletion of your personal data, please contact us at support@octanist.com.

How We Share Your Information:

We will not transfer your personal information to any third party without seeking your consent, except in limited circumstances as described below:

  1. Ad service
  2. Marketing agencies
  3. Legal entities
  4. Analytics
  5. Payment recovery services
  6. Data collection & process

We require such third party’s to use the personal information we transfer to them only for the purpose for which it was transferred and not to retain it for longer than is required for fulfilling the said purpose.

We may also disclose your personal information for the following: (1) to comply with applicable law, regulation, court order or other legal process; (2) to enforce your agreements with us, including this Privacy Policy; or (3) to respond to claims that your use of the Service violates any third-party rights. If the Service or our company is merged or acquired with another company, your information will be one of the assets that is transferred to the new owner.

Retention Of Your Information:

We will retain your personal information with us for 90 days to 2 years after users terminate their accounts or for as long as we need it to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected as detailed in this Privacy Policy. We may need to retain certain information for longer periods such as record-keeping / reporting in accordance with applicable law or for other legitimate reasons like enforcement of legal rights, fraud prevention, etc. Residual anonymous information and aggregate information, neither of which identifies you (directly or indirectly), may be stored indefinitely.
